The project "Improving the Productivity of Young People with Autism and Supporting Their Transition to the Labour Market (OTIGED)", carried out by the Bursa Provincial Directorate of Labour and Employment Agency, is financed by the Turkish National Agency within the scope of the European Union Erasmus+ Programme.
With the participation of OTIGED project partners, the 2nd Transnational Project Meeting was held on 10-11 May 2022 in Auneau, France. On the first day of the meeting following topics were discussed, the activities carried out within the scope of the OTIGED Project, the 1st Intellectual Output-"Training Module for Job Coaches and Other Professionals" prepared for the employment of individuals with autism, the 2nd Intellectual Output-"Guidebook for Job Coaches, Employers and Families" to be prepared for those who are in contact with individuals with autism, Multiplier Events, presentation of the “Vivre et Travailler Autrement Foundation”, which is a project partner and hosted the meeting, and also provides “Job Coaching” service support to the disabled in France, and about the project studies for the next period.
On the second day of the meeting, a field visit was carried out with the project partners to see the implementation of the "Job Coaching" service provided by the "Vivre et Travailler Autrement Foundation" for the preparation of 11 young people with autism, who are employed within the body of Andros company, which has a product variety and market in the international arena, and to prepare these young people for an independent life. During the field visit, information on job processes was obtained from “Job Coaches” who had the opportunity to observe young people with autism at work and support their adaptation to work and workplace. In addition, the morning part of the meeting was completed by observing the private life and social activity areas prepared for these young people. In the afternoon, the program ended with discussions on the project website, next meetings and future activities.
